Liberty Hill

Settlement in the vicinity of Liberty Hill dates to the 1840s. Located on SH 29 west of Georgetown, the town has grown in recent years due to suburban development, a burgeoning school district, and new commercial growth along the highway. There is a distinct old town area that is still utilized for businesses. Unique to the community is an expansive sculpture garden—Liberty Hill International Sculpture Park—associated with local artist Mel Fowler (1921-1987).
